Music at Lunchtime – Friday 10th March 2023

The recital started with the Brunner Show Choir’s accomplished performance of ‘Say a little prayer for me’. Certainly no prayers were needed for those that took Music Theatre examinations as their results were fabulous! All our other performers were Music Theatre examinees, each performing one of their songs. Hattie H began with ‘Wouldn’t it be loverly’ from My Fair Lady, and it certainly was! Anne-Sophie J then sang with real feeling that famous number from ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ – ‘Hushabye Mountain’. Lulu C’s interpretation of the classic ‘Mr Snow’ from Carousel was spot on and then Ruby D gave a mesmerising performance of ‘When I look at you’ from ‘The Scarlet Pimpernel’. It was then Charlie P’s turn and she gave a hugely theatrical rendition of ‘The Ballad of Jane Doe’ from ‘Ride the Cyclone’. Georgia McN then closed the recital with a showstopping performance of ‘So much better’ from Legally Blonde. Do listen back here:
