Channing, an independent school based in North London, where girls aged 4 to 18 can discover their interests, develop their talents, and build lasting friendships. Our inspiring environment fosters academic achievement and personal growth.
The school actively prepares pupils for the future.
A visionary all-girls school full of extremely confident, capable and engaging young women.
‘Fearless’ teaching and learning, encouraging girls to step out of their comfort zone and be ‘10 per cent braver’, is reaping academic rewards. It is a useful life lesson too, but not at the expense of school being fun.
Excellent academics, fantastic pastoral care and a wonderful way of imbuing girls with self-confidence, Channing makes a strong argument for single-sex education.
Girls throw themselves into all aspects of school life, and teacher commitment goes way beyond the classroom.

On Tuesday 27th January, the Y12 Art History students took a trip to the Wallace Collection. The visit focused on portraiture, in line with our current ‘Identities’ module. We began by focussing on a grand Bust of Lous XIV, before exploring the museum to find our favourite portraits. It was a great and informative trip, and also allowed us to visit the new temporary exhibition: Caravaggio’s Cupid. - Amelie, Year 12
Last week’s Music at Lunchtime was a special edition, as we were treated to a performance of seven songs by the Musical Theatre Ensemble on the theme of ‘A Woman’s Love’. The four performers (Amelia Z and Saisha D from Year 9, Issy P from Year 11, and Maika P-Y from Year 13) delivered emotional solos, duets, and trios with impressive cohesion and skill. You can listen back to the full concert on our soundcloud!
We were delighted to host our annual Music Theatre themed evening concert at the Arundel Centre, a much-anticipated highlight of the Spring Term music calendar. Our pupils delivered a captivating evening of vocal and theatrical performances, fully embracing their characters with imaginative costumes, props, and storytelling. From timeless classics to modern musical favourites, each performance showcased confidence, creativity, and outstanding musicianship. The evening concluded with a stunning a cappella performance from our Year 12 vocal quintet, bringing a memorable night of musical theatre to a triumphant close.
You can watch back the full concert on our website!
Year 2 has been busy getting creative! The girls have been learning all about similes and alliteration through our bird topic. They first researched birds, then wrote beautiful descriptions and lastly brought their ideas to life with drawings and cut-outs. So much imagination!
